NOTES: John, along with his brother, Fred, was always up to some mischief during his youth. According to Freeman Prasse, John collected speeding tickets as a hobby. John's death was quite tragic. He was giving blood to a friend who had blood cancer. Common practice at the time was direct transfusion, from the arm of one to the arm of the other. It seems that somehow the blood flow got reversed and John soon contracted the disease and subsequently died.

NOTES: Fred had the same hobby as his brother, John; collecting speeding tickets. He made a career of the Air Force. Stories are around the Air Force that Fred was a bit of a hell raiser (related to Fred Prasse of the East Cleveland, Ohio branch). One story has him out late at night driving his car up and down the runways.

NOTES: Charles was a veteran of the Spanish_American War. He was a champion boxer and boxing instructor in the Navy. "Sailor Burke" was his ring name. When he left the service, he turned professional at about the turn of the century. His most notable bout was with Jack Johnson. Jack was a big black man, heavier and a head taller than Charles. The bout went 10 rounds and was a draw.

NOTES: Lived most of his life in Queens, New York and then retired to Florida. Charles was a First Grade Detective with the New York Police Department for 23 years. He also was in the active Army and reserves for 36 years before retirement. Charles enlisted in the Army as a Private at the outbreak of WWII. He served again in the Korean conflict and investigated war crimes and atrocities. In 1961, he again served during the Cuba and Berlin crises as a ccontingency planner. Charles retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Now resides _ 2238_B Lark Circle West, Palm Harbor, Florida, 33563.
