NOTES: Conrad was a founding member in 1854 of the Salem Evangelical Church. Conrad became a U.S. citizen on August 27, 1856. Wilhemine died eighteen days after giving birth to her daughter. She and her daughter both died on the same day. Conrad was a very well_to_do farmer in Stephenson County. He was a Republican in politics. Conrad finally succumbed as a result of several years suffering from dropsy. Reuben Prasse later lived on his farm.

In about 1859, Fred moved to Martintown, Wisconsin and ran a saw mill. In 1869, he moved to a farm south of Lena, Illinois. Fred and Dorthea helped build the stone Salem Evangelical Church in 1869. Fred was one of the first directors. He was later a director of St. John's Evangelical Church. Fred's son, Henry later lived on his farm.
